Jesse McCartney slides into a tire barrier after being hit by Chris Ashworth during the 2010 Toyota Pro Celebrity Grand Prix qualifying race in Long Beach, Calif., on Saturday afternoon (April 17).

The 23-year-old musician, who competed against the likes of Zachary Levi and Adrien Brody, is okay after being helped from his car to safety. Brian Austin Green took home the trophy.

Toyota Racing tweeted about Jesse’s status: “For all you Jesse fans, he finished 11th in the Celeb category and 16th overall. He is OK and thanks you for your support.”

Jesse McCartney relaxes during the afternoon by having lunch with friends at Joan’s on Third on Monday (March 29) in West Hollywood.

The 22-year-old singer, Anna Faris, and Zachary Levi accepted the Favorite Movie award for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel at the 2010 Kids Choice Awards. “You probably don’t recognize me. I’m usually a lot shorter and hairier,” McCartney joked while accepting the blimp.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download on March 30th, 2010.
